Application of chaos assisted sine cosine algorithm on wind–solar integrated hydrothermal scheduling problem

In recent times, renewable energy sources are essential for generating low-cost, pollution-free power. Since the last two decades, hydrothermal coordination system has been used to fulfill demand The traditional model's biggest flaws high generation cost and excessive fossil fuel emission. proposed work, process of scheduling (HTS) improved by integrating wind–solar energy. To overcome current issues HTS, that is, emission cost, hydrothermal–solar–wind (HTSWS) problem introduced where wind solar power units have considered with four hydro three thermal units. Here, effective performance low cost-emission based HTSWS examined using chaos-based sine cosine algorithm (SCA) (CSCA). Chaos in function SCA improve searching finding global optimal results. CSCA investigate separate situations standard HTS recommended problems including emission, combined cost-emission. emissions from conventional can be reduced 11% 68%, respectively, suggested source-based model. results several case studies reveal is issue, chaos assists its optimization process. this study, effectiveness robustness demonstrated comparing CSCA-based existing methods challenges under consideration.
